How to play.

Zingg is a free online drinking game for friends. A deck of strange challenges, unfortunate rules, and things you’ll deny tomorrow.

Get your people together.

You need friends and a phone, tablet, or computer with a browser. No download, sign-up, or physical cards. Grab whatever you’re drinking.

Pick how you’re playing.

Pass the phone

For everyone in the same room. On your phone, tap Start mobile game. Take turns around the table and pass the phone along. No names to enter. You presumably know each other.

Shared screen

One person hosts on a screen everyone can see. Choose Shared screen, add 2–12 player names, and pick In person or Over video. The game picks cards for that setting and keeps track of whose turn it is.

Playing over a video call? The host shares their screen. Everyone else just needs to show up.

Flip a card. Read it out loud.

On your turn, tap A or B to reveal the next card. Follow the instructions, then tap Next player. In pass-the-phone mode, hand the phone to the next person.

  • Action: the player whose turn it is does what the card says.
  • Everyone: the whole group is involved. Nobody gets to quietly check their phone.
  • Status: a rule to keep track of as you play. Remember your own status; the game won’t do it for you.

Some cards have a Hint button with examples if you’re stuck.

Keep going. Or call it.

When the deck runs out, choose Reshuffle and continue for another round. You can also stop whenever you like. There’s no prize for being the last idiot standing.

Skip anything you don’t want to do. Non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. The point is hanging out with your friends.
